Yard Sale: April 19, 8:00 a.m.—3:00 p.m. SPC will host an all-church yard-sale April 19 to benefit the Mexico Mission Trip. All donations may be dropped off in the Meeting Room Sunday evening (April 13) 4pm –8pm, or Monday through Thursday (April 14 –17) 9am –8pm. If you would like to volunteer to organize during the week or to help on Saturday, please speak to Doug Price or Peggy Williams.

Sneaker Sunday: Celebrating the Work of God’s Hand on April 20th  Let us join together in gratitude for the wonders and majesty of our Heavenly Creator’s world by celebrating Earth Day and Sneaker Sunday. We will be kind to the earth by saving fuel and energy, and kind to our bodies by walking to improve health. Walk to church from home or meet at the Salem Ice Cream Parlor at 10:30 a.m. to walk as a group. Psalm 8:1 “O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.”

Rescue Mission Ministries presents an evening of word and song to move and inspire!  Monday, April 21st at 7:00 p.m. at the Roanoke Civic Center Performing Arts Theatre, featuring Tony Campolo, “The Positive Prophet” and Ken Medema, “Story Telling Musician.” Free tickets are available from the Roanoke Civic Center (540-853-5483).

Come Build a Home with Salem Presbyterian and Habitat for Humanity! Come swing a hammer, carry a board, or hang some siding with our congregation and members of other churches! Our church and a number of other churches from different denominations have committed to build a Habitat for Humanity home in Roanoke starting on Saturday, May 17 and Saturday, May 24. We need your help! No experience is necessary, just a willing body and heart. We also need help with food organization and preparation. You must be at least sixteen (16) years old to volunteer for construction work. A sign-up sheet is available on the bulletin board in front of Gresham Hall. Please sign up as soon as possible for this ambitious mission with our fellow members and other Christians!
